A portrait for me is a
meeting with another person, where the model obviously
takes priority. The photographer is in a unique position
because he can "freeze" the image at any time.
This way, a number of unique images could result from one
session. I started taking studio portraits during my
first workshop with photographer Morten Krogvold at
Vågå in 1993. Nowdays I normally use existing light
from large windows, using a reflexion screen to control
the contrast.
