The coast line from Tønsberg to Larvik, just over one hour drive south of Oslo, is on the west side of the Oslo fjord. The area with its many small rocky islands is quite a summer paradise, and it’s packed full with people and small boates during the summer. I tend to consentrate on Østerøya, near Sandefjord and the peninsula between Stavern and Helgeroa, just outside Larvik. The sea’s formation of the rocky islands and the costline during thousands of years is facinating.
